This is by far the best non-canon video related to Assassin's Creed I have ever seen. I love this animation about the initiation of Altaïr to the brotherhood, and in my opinion, Ubisoft should make this official. Great job you have done here you all, keep up the good work!

My reaction at the end was: Oh f*ck, Altair can't swim! He died before we truly knew him, how sad.
It Was A Glitch From Animus But Was Later Fixed In Animus Used In AC2 And Also If I Remember Right The Girl In First Game Explained It Was A Glitch Play The Game.
Why did he kut his finger?
There are many reasons 1. He can use hidden blade without damaging his finger 2. When joining the templars you had to wear a ring on your left hand. If the ring finger is removed than The templar ring won't fit, so that the assassins if Kicked out of brotherhood wouldn't be able to Join The Templars to betray the assassins. 3. It was kind of ritual for the assassins
